TEXAN Colin Edwards pulled a fast one on the much anticipated showdown between newly crowned world champion Valentino Rossi of Italy and Casey Stoner of Australia by clocking the fastest time in MotoGP free practice of the Polini Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Sepang Circuit yesterday.
The American waited until the dying moments of the day’s second session of practice to set a time of 2:02.667 on his Yamaha to go ahead of Rossi and Stoner.
