SEPANG: Fans attending the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix this weekend are encouraged to make full use of public transporation the ERL, KTM Commuter and taxis to get to and out of the circuit here.
The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) chief executive officer, Ahmad Razlan Ahmad Razali, said that feeder buses would be made available at the Nilai and KLIA Sepang terminals for fans using the ERL and KTM Commuter.
“Park your cars at KL Sentral and then take the ERL or the KTM Commuter to have a hassle-free trip to the circuit. I would say that would be the best way to enjoy the event,” he said.
The SIC are only opening two areas Main Grandstand and K1 Grandstand for the GP.
With bike convoys from Thailand and Singapore making their way to Sepang, Razlan is confident they can achieve the target of 70,000 spectators for the race on Sunday.
“Sales have almost reached the same figures as last year and Malaysians are known to wait until the last minute to purchase them. We hope that interest will pick up over the next three days,” he said yesterday.
“As part of our corporate social responsibility and to generate further interest among Malaysians, we are also allowing the public to watch the Friday session free of charge.”
