Chong Wei gets wish for full-time support service team


KUALA LUMPUR: National No. 1 men’s singles shuttler Lee Chong Wei and his coach Datuk Misbun Sidek walked out smiling after a “surprise” meeting with National Sports Institute (NSI) director general Datuk Dr Ramlan Aziz at Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara yesterday.

Dr Ramlan, who turned up unannounced at the national badminton team’s training centre yesterday despite still being on Hari Raya leave, unveiled big plans on the role of sports science in supporting and strengthening the badminton players in their preparation towards the London Olympic Games in 2012.
