KUALA LUMPUR: The scratch men’s doubles pair of Hoon Thien How-Ong Soon Hock gave Malaysia the cheers on the second day of the Indonesian Open at the Is-tora Senayan in Jakarta yesterday.
The duo, who are competing in only their second international tournament together, battled for 71 minutes to beat fourth seeds Ikeda Shintaro-Shuichi Sakamoto of Japan 25-23, 21-23, 21-19 to march into the quarter-finals.
