KLAGENFURT: High-spirited Croats and Germans clad in their national colours swarmed through Klagenfurt yesterday, with police expecting 43,000 fans to descend on the city for their teams’ Euro 2008 match.
Police said earlier that a number of known troublemakers could be heading to Austria, but made it clear that officers were ready to intervene quickly at the first sign of trouble.
