PETALING JAYA: After several close calls, KLRC Bhd's Sairul Amar Ayob (pic) finally scored one of his biggest career wins – knocking out World Championships runner-up Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia in a day of many upsets in the first round of the men's singles of the Swiss Open in Basel yesterday.
Sairul took only 27 minutes to beat the world number six 21-13, 21-11 to set up a match today against seasoned campaigner Wong Choong Hann.
