KUALA LUMPUR: Former vice-president Karim Ibrahim won the vacant deputy president’s post at the Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union (MAAU) AGM held in Kangar on Sunday, beating former deputy president Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah.
Danyal, who held the post in 2006, resigned following his defeat by Perlis Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim in the tussle for the president’s post at last year's AGM.
