KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Amateur Athletics Union (MAAU) will organise an international meet at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil from July 2-5 to give national athletes one last chance to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
MAAU development and coaching committee chairman Karim Ibrahim said that the closing date to qualify on merit for individual events at the Olympics is July 23. And the four-day meet will definitely be the last one for them to win places for the Olympics, which are scheduled from Aug 8-24.
