KUALA LUMPUR: Mohd Rizal Tisin was in smashing form – creating a national record in the men’s 1km time trial en route to winning the gold medal in the Sultan Azlan Shah Asia Cup cycling championships at the Kuala Lumpur Velodrome yesterday.
The 23-year-old rider from Klang clocked 1:04.979 in the event and his efforts erased the previous mark of 1:05.233 set by Azizul Hasni Awang in the final round of the Track World Cup in Manchester early this year.
