BANGKOK: Suzann Pettersen carded a seven-under 65 yesterday to seize a two-stroke lead after the opening round of the US$1.3mil Thailand Open tournament in Pattaya.
Pettersen's round at the Siam Country Club included nine birdies, with bogeys coming on holes 13 and 16, giving her a two-shot edge over Canadian Alena Sharp and a three-shot cushion from Angela Park of Brazil and Australian Katherine Hull.
