PETALING JAYA: Christyn Chew captured her first international youth title when she beat the boys for the Taiwan Open crown in Taichung yesterday.
The 18-year-old Christyn, who joined the national youth squad just three months ago, fired lines of 221-184-231-202-258-279-196-225-259-215 for a total score of 2,330 pinfalls, including a 60-pin handicap, to bag the title. All girl bowlers are given a six-pin-per-game handicap.
