PETALING JAYA: Malaysian taekwondo exponents have failed to secure early qualification for the Beijing Olympics from the ongoing world qualifiers in Manchester.
Of the four Malaysians who took part, seasoned campaigner Elaine Teo came closest when she overcame Olympic bronze medallist Yaowapa Boorapolchai of Thailand to enter the quarter-finals of the women's flyweight (below 49kg) competition.
