SMK Clifford claim Super Cup

PETALING JAYA: A solitary goal by Nazrul Naim in extra time gave SMK Clifford of Kuala Kangsar the 100Plus Super Cup champions school Under-18 football title at the Raja Melewar Teachers Training College ground in Negri Sembilan on Saturday.

Nazrul scored the winner against SMK Pulau Nyior of Kedah six minutes into extra time. 

Clifford coach Mohamed Shah Abdul Manan said: “We are thrilled with this win and we want to dedicate it to the school. It's a good present for the 50th year of Merdeka.” 

In the playoff for the bronze, SMK Section 10, Shah Alam, defeated Negri Sembilan’s SMK Tuanku Ampuan Durah 1-0.  

Tunku Ampuan Durah's Mohd Faizal Rahim won the top scorer's award while Mohd Taufik Zahari of Section 10 was named the player of the tournament. The best goalkeeper award went to Mohd Ameerul Fikri of Victoria Institution while Clifford won the Fair Play award.
