COACH Rexy Mainaky’s dream of seeing an all-Malaysian men’s doubles semi-final line-up in the World Championships evaporated on the first day of competition at the Putra Stadium in Bulit Jalil yesterday.
Tan Bin Shen-Ong Soon Hock, who qualified on merit to play in the championships, crashed to a 14-21, 8-21 defeat by Japan’s Tadashi Ohtsuka-Keita Masuda in 32 minutes.
