Pahang emerge as the overall champions with 13 gold medals

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah sensationally claimed the sepaktakraw gold on the final day of the second National Women’s Games to cap a highly successful championship that saw a total of four national records set – three in weightlifting and one from athletics.

Kedah’s Noor Fairuz Azizan, Nurrashidah Abd Rashid, Idayu Ismail and Siti Hajar Zakaria, who have only been training for a month, upstaged their more fancied opponents from Kuala Lumpur to bag the last gold medal of the Games.
