BARCELONA: Former champion Valentino Rossi was quickest in the second free practice for the Catalunya MotoGP yesterday while local favourite Dani Pedrosa set the early pace and then crashed spectacularly.
The 28-year-old Yamaha rider, a winner in front of his home fans in Italy last weekend, has won five of the last six premier class races at the Circuit de Catalunya and lapped in 1:43.313 in hot, dry conditions.
