TOKYO: New Eintracht Frankfurt signing Junichi Inamoto wants to sit out Japan’s Asian Cup defence next month and focus on the Bundesliga club’s pre-season training, a press report said yesterday.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who signed a two-year contract last week with Frankfurt and quit Turkish side Galatasaray, said he would play in the continental competition if his new club and country agree.
