Games-bound Siti not resting on laurels

KUALA LUMPUR: Hammer thrower Siti Shahida Abdullah has just beaten the qualifying mark for the SEA Games and she is looking forward to giving another good show in the Pahang Open athletics championships, which begin tomorrow at the Darulmakmur Stadium in Kuantan.

The 26-year-old teacher recorded a distance of 50.72m in the Federal Territories Open last weekend to beat the Games qualifying mark of 49.75m. It was her first meet of the year since winning the gold medal in the Asean University Games in Hanoi last December.
