Top seed Roslin easily clears first round hurdle


PETALING JAYA: Top seeded Malaysian Roslin Hashim (pic) cruised into the second round with an easy 21-17, 21-5 win over Thai youngster Suppanyu Avihingsanon but it was tough going for junior Chan Kwong Beng in the Asian Satellite Open yesterday. 

Kwong Beng, one of the four juniors under the charge of national singles coach Misbun Sidek, had to bring out his best to down South Korean youngster Park Sung-min 21-13, 11-21, 22-20.
