PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's Nicol David got off to a convincing start in her bid to win her eighth consecutive professional squash title at the Kuwait Open on Sunday. 

The reigning world champion and world number one took 46 minutes to secure a 9-3, 9-5, 9-7 win over Ireland's Madeline Perry in the first round.
