PENANG: It was a difficult choice to make but putting national interest above all else, Malaysia’s lawn bowls ace Azlina Arshad (pic left) did not want to let her team-mates down during the International Police Championships in Adelaide, Australia recently.
Azlina, who represented the Royal Malaysian Police women’s triples team at the championships held from March 14-22, learnt that her father had suffered a major heart attack in their home in Teluk Kumbar near here on March 12 shortly after arrival.
