MIAMI: Mark Wilson waited 10 years to celebrate his maiden PGA Tour win with a playoff victory over Jose Coceres at the Honda Classic on Monday but was willing to hang on a little longer if he could not do it by the rules.
Despite having made 10 consecutive trips to the qualifying school since joining the tour in 1997, the journeyman American chose not to turn a blind eye or rather a deaf ear when caddie Chris Jones accidentally gave Colombian Camilo Villegas and his caddie information about their club selection during second round play on Friday.
