ALOR STAR: Eighty riders, including Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, will be competing in the inaugural Royal Kedah International Ride in Jitra from March 9-10.
The event, jointly organised by the state government and the Youth and Sports Ministry and sanctioned by the International Equestrian Federation, will also see riders like Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Qatar’s Sheikh Rashid, Australian national team captain Peter Toft and Belgium’s Leonard Lissen competing for honours. Holland’s Linne Wever, a female rider, is also joining the fray.
