ROME: Italy has lifted a ban on staging football matches after dark, one of several measures to clamp down on hooliganism after a policeman died during riots at a night game two weeks ago.
Evening matches deemed to pose no threat to public safety can resume from Feb 24, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
