ABU DHABI: Sweden's Henrik Stenson finished the opening day of the Abu Dhabi Championship three shots off the lead yesterday but was happy just to be playing after surviving a horror road crash.
The Swede, who was second behind American Chris DiMarco in 2006, collided with a lorry on his way to the course after missing the turn-off.
