Jung-hwan quits Germany and goes home

SEOUL: Former MSV Duisburg forward Ahn Jung-hwan has said he abandoned Germany for a return to his native South Korea because he wanted to play with a winning side.

The 29-year-old signed a one-year contract with 2004 K-League champions Suwon Samsung Bluewings on Tuesday, ending an overseas spell stretching back to 2000 that also included time in Italy, Japan and France.
