Big lead in world rankings a boon for Nicol


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Nicol David will not be short of match sharpness for the CIMB Kuala Lumpur Squash Open in March despite skipping the Apawamis Open in New York, the season opener which starts today. 

Nicol, the world No 1 and reigning world champion, leaves for Australia on Sunday to train with former great Sarah Fitz-Gerald. She will return at the end of the month and head for her training base in Amsterdam in early February.
