Top four shooters surpass world record


PETALING JAYA: The third day of shooting competition at the Fespic Games witnessed a history of sorts when the top four shooters all bettered the old world record in the Coed 25m sports pistol event. 

Ni Hedong of China won with 764.3 points which shattered the old record of 672.4 set by Turkey's Yamac at the 2004 Athens Paralympics while his compartriot Shanyuan Zhao amassed 752.1 points for the silver, ahead of bronze medallist Naresh Kumar of India on 720.6 points. Fourth placed Sebastian Hume of Australia also bettered the previous record.
