BEIJING: White mice will be recruited as food tasters at the 2008 Olympics as part of a massive security operation to shield athletes from food poisoning, a common hazard in China, state media reported.
Round the clock guards will be on duty in Olympic kitchens, food storage areas will be under video surveillance and food transport vehicles will be fitted will global positioning systems and secure food compartments, Xinhua news agency said.
