GLASGOW: Rangers beat bottom club Dunfermline Athletic 2-0 to end a dreadful week by moving into second place in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.
Rangers crashed out of the League Cup in midweek to Second Division leaders St Johnstone, losing 2-0. That defeat followed a 2-1 loss at lowly Dundee United in the league a few days earlier.
