BEIJING: Broadcasters in the Asia-Pacific yesterday demanded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) reconsider their decision to hold some finals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the morning to cater to US prime-time audiences.
The decision last month to change the schedule and hold all swimming and most of the gymnastics finals in the morning has triggered charges that the IOC caved in to pressure from US television rights holder NBC.
