PETALING JAYA: The national hockey team began a four-match Test series against China in Lanzhou yesterday with a 2-1 win.
Bukit Jalil Sport School's Mohd Razie Rahim opened accounts for Malaysia in the 19th minute with a field goal but China equalised with a penalty stroke conversion by Hou Liang in the 30th minute. Malaysia netted the winner through Chua Boon Huat, who scored a field goal in the 64th minute.
