Bowling: Sharon reaches semis, Tricia bites the dust


PETALING JAYA: National number two and top seed Sharon Wee eliminated Mami Nishio of Japan 9-3, 9-3, 9-3 to reach the semi-finals of the US$11,000 Berkshire Open in Williamstown, Massachusetts on Thursday. 

World number 22 Sharon, who turned 29 on Thursday, took only 30 minutes to get the better of the Japanese. Sharon, who has won five professional titles since turning pro in 1997, will face fourth seed Samantha Teran of Mexico for a place in the final.
