KUALA LUMPUR: The national hockey squad checked into camp to begin their preparation for the Doha Asian Games and the poor level of fitness stood out like a sore thumb.
Team manager Nur Azmie Ahmad said that in a fitness test conducted in the morning, almost 80% of the 21 players in the 26-member training squad did not meet the minimum level.
