Our men end gold drought


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s 10-year gold drought in the men’s competition of the Asian Bowling Championships ended yesterday when the team led by Azidi Ameran gave a superb performance to win two gold medals at the Jaya Ancol Bowl in Jakarta. 

Azidi together with Alex Liew, Daniel Lim, Adrian Ang, Mohd Noer Said and Ben Heng were in fiery form and captured the team gold with a combined score of 6,183. It was Malaysia’s first-ever victory in the event in the series.
