PETALING JAYA: The future of the proposed High Performance Training Centre (HPTC) in London will be known next month.

When asked what was the status of the HPTC, Sports Minister Datuk Azalina Othman Said said: “I cannot answer this question, not until I have briefed the Cabinet Committee on Sports about the matter in September.”

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is the chairman of the committee.

The proposed HPTC, which is planned as a gateway for Malaysian athletes in Europe, had received flak and criticism from various parties.
