KUALA TERENGGANU: Super League champions Negri Sembilan are supremely confident. Negri Coach K. Devan has listed two factors that will help them beat Terengganu in a top-of-the-table Group A match tonight to confirm their quarter-finals place.
Devan said pride is at stake for Negri, the Super League champions. Negri, with several former internationals like Idris Karim and Rezal Zambry Yahya in their squad, can also count on their experience to down the Turtles in their own turf.
“We are here on a mission ... to produce our best performance and walk away with a win and earn a place in the quarter-finals,” said Devan.
“The players are motivated after losing (1-3) to Terengganu at home in the first round. Negri have come here to prove a point that we can also beat Terengganu in their own den.
“We are prepared for the match, we have the experience and we will be driven by pride.”
Terengganu, on the other hand, are equally fired up to get the three points needed to seal their spot and coach Yunus Alif said he will let the players do the “talking” on the field in a match that is expected to a draw a bumper crowd.
