KUALA LUMPUR: Six sports icons representing six decades of Malaysian sports made an appearance in conjunction with the relaunch of Milo energy drink at the Milo Energy Day at Dataran LRT in Bukit Jalil here yesterday.
The six – Datuk Ghani Minhat (football), Ng Joo Ngan (cycling), Marina Chin (athletics), M. Kumarasen (cycling), Shalin Zulkifli (bowling) and Siti Safiyah Amirah (bowling) – were given a glowing tribute for their achievements and inducted into the Milo Hall of Champions.
The event was held in conjunction with the introduction of Milo’s improved formula, new packaging and its new slogan – Milo Go Further.
Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd managing director Sullivan O'Carroll said that the six sports icons were legends in their fields of endeavour.
“Their participation in this campaign aptly reflects this winning spirit of achieving one's best, scaling new heights and to succeed in life. It serves to inspire to bring out the best in you.”
