SINGAPORE: It will be an all-Denmark men’s singles final in the US$170,000 Aviva Open Singapore badminton championships with top seed Peter Gade Christensen taking on second seed Kenneth Jonassen for the US$13,600 top prize.
In yesterday’s semi-finals at the Indoor Stadium, the Danes brushed aside their Chinese opponents with Gade Christensen beating third seed Bao Chunlai 21-15, 16-21, 21-17 in 63 minutes while Jonassen downed fourth seed Chen Hong 25-23, 19-21, 21-16 in a 62-minute thriller.
