AKMAL Amrun of Selangor and Fatehah Mustapa of Terengganu outclassed their rivals to win the boys’ 1,000m and girls’ 500m sprint cycling gold medals at Kuala Nerang in Padang Terap yesterday.
Sprint events are normally held in a velodrome but there is none in Kedah and the races were staged at the Langgar Highway.
