LONDON: Even if England do not win the forthcoming World Cup in Germany, the chances are that one of their teams may be able to claim a share in another nation's success after a survey revealed that English clubs are providing one in seven players for the tournament.
Dan Jones, of survey authors Deloitte – one of Britain's leading accountancy firms - said Thursday: “English clubs provide more World Cup players than any other country's clubs, which again emphasises the strength and popularity of the game in this country.
