PASIR GUDANG: The organisers are hoping for a dry weather for tomorrow's Honda Wave 100/EX5 Dream Four-hour Endurance race and have even hired a bomoh to prevent the late afternoon thunderstorms that have become a norm of late.

But a wet track is not a bother for defending champion Tai Seng Kooi who will be gunning for a hat-trick of wins after victories in 2004 and last year. He won in 2004 with M. Meganathan and paired with Mohd Faizal Ahmad last year.

The 46-year-old former Malaysian Superbike champion, is back with Meganathan this year.

“Rain? No problem for me or my partner. We like it wet. I call myself a ular laut (sea snake) on a wet track,” said Seng Kooi.

The Honda Asean Superstar One-Make race, featuring the Asean Superstar Wave 125cc and the Asean SBR 150cc categories, will also be held tomorrow. A total of RM39,000 is up for grabs in all the three events.
