SAN ROQUE (Spain): Severiano Ballesteros is a noticeable absentee from this week's Spanish Open even though the troubled five-times major champion did manage a round in the tournament's pro-am on Wednesday.
Ballesteros, who had hoped to play a limited European Tour schedule this year, has no plans to return to the tour but is still optimistic he will play his first British Open for five years.
