THE Czech Republic will appear at their first World Cup since the country gained independence in 1993 although the experience and talent in Karel Bruckner’s side means no one will take them lightly and going all the way to the title is within their abilities.
Drawn in a tough qualifying group with Holland and Romania as well as plucky Finland, the Czech side were grateful to book second spot in the pool and come through a two-legged playoff with a methodical 2-0 aggregate win over Norway which sealed their passage to Germany.
