KUALA LUMPUR: The Formula One Street Party, scheduled for today at the Telawi area in Bangsar, has been cancelled.
However, entertainment outlets and restaurants around the area would continue with their respective in-house programmes to promote the F1 race, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) general manager Datuk Ahmad Mustafa said in a statement yesterday.
In conjunction with the 2006 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix on March 17-19, SIC and their partners have planned various activities and events to hype up the F1 excitement and liven up the city under the Kuala Lumpur Grand Prix City programme.
Ahmad said the F1 Festival at Dataran Merdeka, featuring the KL Vintage and Classic Car show and the KLGP City Auto Festival this weekend, will proceed as scheduled. Bernama
