LISBON: Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko was hospitalised on Tuesday after suffering what the club described as a “serious eye injury,” in their 1-0 Champions League defeat by Benfica.
Sissoko was stretchered off half an hour into the match after being caught in the face by the dangerously high boot of Benfica midfielder Beto.
