DOHA: Ernie Els admitted yesterday that he feared for his career after suffering a potentially damaging knee injury, which forced him to sit out four months last year.
The defending champion at the US$2mil Qatar Masters beginning today, Els is attempting to become the first golfer in the history of the tournament to win it twice, but such thoughts were far from his mind as he reflected on his injury and his “nervous” comeback in December.
