LISBON: Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Lisbon early yesterday to witness the start of the 28th Dakar Rally.
The race takes more than 1,400 drivers, competing in 508 teams from over 40 different nations, on a 9,043km route from Lisbon to Dakar in Senegal in just 15 days.
