Former champ gets six months’ imprisonment


FRANKFURT AN DER ODER (Germany): Former World Boxing Council (WBC) light-heavyweight champion Graciano Rocchigiani was sentenced to six months in prison on Monday for violating probation by driving drunk. 

Rocchigiani was originally jailed for assaulting a police officer in 2001 after he found the boxer drunkenly asleep behind the steering wheel of his car. He was put on three years’ probation upon his release in 2002.
