KUALA LUMPUR: The National Sports Council (NSC) believe the arrival of Cuban Javier Sotomayor, the world record holder for high jump, tomorrow for a week-long clinic will provide a lift after Malaysias flop in the event at the recent Manila SEA Games.
Following the retirement of five-time champion Loo Kum Zee, the hopes were on Lee Hup Wei and Ahmad Najwan Aqra to extend Malaysias 28-year domination in the event. But both fell out of the medals.
